What compact take Raw Pictures

As title.

I know Canon G10 does but rather have something a bit more compact.

Hmmm not much choice is there really or am i being a bit too silly wanting Raw on a Compact? It just that I use Raw when taking pictures with my canon 40D

Eight isn't much of a choice? :shrug:

ONE or TWO isn't much of a choice, eight is pretty good...
 
I was hoping more of a compact the G10 and G9 are a bit bulky for shirt pocket.. I prob expecting too much?

Both the DP1 and the g9 fit quite comfy in ya trouser pocket mind you :)
 
The camera that seem to catch my eyes are the Canon Ixus 100IS or Powershot 2100 due to having HD Recording too that could come in handy. But neither shoot raw but maybe I just go for a nice compact with HD Recording too and forget Raw and leave that for my Pro Cam?
 
Canon S70 does RAW if you're after an older model. (No idea why they took out RAW from the newer S80)
 
LX3 and Dlux4 are smaller forms than the G10 - but in reality, all of them are pocket sized, especially considering we're

a] mostly the sort of people who wear clothes with big pockets, and
b] used to carting around three tons of SLR/lens/flash combinations

Or at least I am, anyway...
 
Doesn't the CHDK hack let you shoot raw on a whole range of Canon compacts? I've installed it onto a Powershot summitorother, but haven't been able to get it to work yet as the camera doesn't have an 'Alt' button and I just havent really had too much time to fart about with it lately.

This might be worth looking into though... it lets you bracket exposures too IIRC.

As the OP wants pocket sized you can scratch the FZ8 off that list - thats the camera I use and much as I love it, it definately does not fit into any of my pockets. Not even the really big ones.

Just looked at this thanks and look like it does not support the Ixus 100 IS ???
 
Remember compacts do alot of image processing on their jpegs to reduce the short comings of their lens so raw could be of limited value as you might have to fiddle with the photos quite abit.

::edit:: my first sentence might annoy some so i'll just leave the second up.
