What do i buy??????

Just sold my len's and now have the funds to buy something new but not sure what, i shoot wildlife, aircraft, lanscapes, portraits. I was going to buy the canon 100-400 is but now im not so sure, im in 2 minds wether to buy this lens or buy a shorter focal lenth and a 1.4x converter for wildlife and aircraft and a wide angle for landscapes ect. can anybody advise me what to buy???:shrug::shrug:

Sigma 70-200mm & 1.4x TC.

Gives you the 2.8 needed for lower light stuff, and the 1.4x gives you a bit of extra length when needed.

Thant and the Sigma 10-20 / Tamron 11-22 sould come it at less than the Canon 100-400 and is more flexible to boot.

if you get a 1.4 you need a fast lens or you loss AF

Hence why i suggested the 2.8 glass as well. The 1.4 on the 200 would give 280mm & f4

You could use a 1.4 extender on an f/4 lens and still get AF with any of Canon's DSLRs. F/4 is not particularly fast.

The only 'problem' with that is no IS. It certainly is useful, as far as I'm concerned, at the long end for aircraft, wildlife etc.
