what do you enjoy shooting?

I love photojournalism type photography, stuff that tells a story. I also love taking photos of the sort of mundane things in life, bus shelters and street bins I'm told! :D

Vicky.

As I've never been an extravogant or particularly confident people person that kinda rules out people most of the time, been into insects and wildlife since I could read and have no worries having a conversation with a dangerous animal

So basically for me and those reasons- (and I was blessed with patience)- its macro amd extreme macro (love detail). Still looking for other things though as still fairly new to it all!

Oh, I also love motorsports but as I like walking round the pits and getting involved, the camera with long zoom lens is a bit of a hinderance...

In fairness its posh cars, my mates when they dress up and pretend to be something and interesting candids. But thats just my pref I suppose!!

Mainly railway related for me, but I am also trying to get into landscapes.

Horses, birdies and more horses!

Go karts were fun, but I could not do much of them.

Practically everything I shoot is landscapes, and sometimes architecture - all in black & white. I've done the occasional portrait shots, but normally only for family members.

landscapes, wildlife mostly, but i do like abit of portraits/sport on the side, just to add veriety :D

Anything that doesn't get up and walk away or argue with me - so pretty much anything but people and animals. Especially not people. If i'd have wanted to shoot people, I'd have joined the army.

Has to be wildlife for me, mainly exotic so has to be at zoos for now.

Landscape and anything that allows storytelling - weddings, public events, etc.

For me, my big project that I am trying to kick off (but struggling!) is shooting people. I am desperate to get going on building a portfolio of shots up but still finding it hard getting willing models!

My other favourites are macro, animals and landscapes. That said I'll shoot anything to build up my experience.

Still haven't found anything that has been tedius in photography for me. I'm learning more every day but especially like macro, wildlife, architecture, street candids, landscapes and then people. People seem to be mainly my kids as I don't have the confidence to get anyone else to pose as yet.

I saw this title and thought in this frame of mind this morning, most people :D but then I realised you meant with a camera

Sport - mainly rugby and wildlife for me

landscapes all the way for me:D I also enjoy candid/portrait shots of my friends :)

and places like WHF where I can be close to the big cats. I am not a big fan of zoos as they are usually crowded and you have glass or bars in the shots.

People, especially candids, landscapes, wild life, livestock, sports, cars, trains, planes. I'm a bit of a photography whore, if it reflects light I'll point my lens at it.

Same here, I find a 12 bore is best!

When I get it right, people.

Also have mucho love for shooting cityscapes and urban detail shots.

Cars, Bikes and candid for me.

I don't seem to like things that are staged or not variable. I don't know if that makes sense but with candid you can capture several different moods in a space of a minute. With Bikes and Cars, you don't know what is going to happen next. With things like still life or landscapes, you have the image and it is the angle, framing, lighting etc that makes the picture.

I suppose it's the less technical fiddly side of photography that I least enjoy, which is something that I am working on at the moment.

I am sure my tastes in photography will change in time, that's all part of the fun.

To be honest with you, I think of my camera as a tool to getting that awesome image I've been after. The thrill for me isn't taking the pictures, it's getting them home, onto the computer and seeing what stuff I can do, pushing my own personal boundaries.

I don't have a preference on what I shoot, I enjoy all aspects of photography and can appreciate each avenue for the skill and techniques involved (they vary greatly from landscapes to event photography).

I guess it's kinda like asking a football player what his favourite position is, they all enjoy football but prefer playing a certain position and in that position they use different skills than others.

Motorsports & Landscape. Sort of polar opposites of each other I guess.

Yeah I suppose you are right. I personally like to shoot landscapes and it is something that I intend on doing more. The only thing that is setting me back is my very limited time at the moment.

It's a shame because I am right at the botom of the Yorkshire Dales so have all this fantastic scenery around me but no real time to go and enjoy it.
