What do you think about these cameras?

Hello,

Like I've said in previous threads, I'm new to photography and I love macro shots.

I've been looking around the internet and I have come across two cameras:

  1. Olympus E410
  2. Sony A230

Are these any good? What do you think about them?

bigger crap I thinks ! :( .. I used to have sony a200 a much better camera in built than the a230. I would suggest a canon 450d or something similar.

I've seen a second-hand olympus E410 that I can afford, thinking about getting it. Looked at a couple of reviews and it looks quite good. What are peoples opinions on it?
 
then - canon 350d, sony a200, nikon d3000 - what about these ?

there is nothing good and cheap in dslr world except nifty fiftys.
or the minolta lenses for sony.
 
I had a Sony a230 which I'm now selling as I'm upgrading to an a450.

It was good for me as a beginner, as it is very simple to use, and has anti-shake built into the camera, not the lenses.
 
a230 is a great little camera. Used a mate's on holiday a while back and although i was totally confused at first being a D2x user, it was producing great results once I fathomed it. Yep, it's no D3 but for a few hundred quid it's a tool that does a job well

all of sonys have anti-shake, but to be honest - I think that canon/nikon is doing a much better job with having them in lenses.

the same with the sensor cleaner - rubbish. but nevertheless - the IQ was great.
