What does the term Strong lens mean?

I have just been asked to photograph some directors of a football club and when he asked he said use a strong lens. Im sure this means sharp?

I would definately take that to mean he thinks reinforced glass is needed to prevent breakages caused by the 'looks' of the directors

I just love it when asked to do jobs at last min.
Not too sure if to use my Sb-900 flash as its going to be rushed being 1.30pm before 3pm kick off. Sure its going to be rushed so setting 2 lights up and backdrop will take a lot of time up. Its easier to use just the sb-900 don't you agree?
