What drunk me has done this evening.

Tomorrow, Sober Me will find out what Drunk Me has bought this evening.

Yes, Drunk Me has bought a telescope, a Skywatcher 250 PX Dobsonian; a massive tube of light-gathering capability in a wooden mount which I have yet to find a place in the garden for. Not only will Sober Me get a surprise when he wakes up but Sober Me's wife will get one too, and not in a pleasant way. Oops, sorry dear, I wasn't myself.

In truth I'm not really drunk but I've had a few. I did think about stopping drinking once, not because of social-failure reasons as I'm never really drunk per se, but purely for health reasons. Having said that, I have given up smoking (years ago) and I exercise regularly with a low-fat and well-balanced diet, I also have two grown-up children (wink-wink-say-no-more) and I am permitted a vice and that vice is beer/wine.

Christmas eve, had a fantastic day in shop, shut at lunch time, lots of cash in pocket. Got sloshed and went to pick up the new carpet for dining room for xmas day. Music shop next door to carpet shop. xmas day morning, knock on door, whacking great electric organ is being delivered.I had just finished cutting in the new carpet and was bathing in 'good boy' darlin love. Apparantly i had paid just shy of a grand cash for this monster and bunged them another fifty to deliver it first thing. Fu#&*ed the whole xmas up, it dominated the newly decorated dining room and wife stopped talking although the mother in law did smile a lot.

That was one of my more spectacular alcohol fueld disasters..

My trouble is i post on forums when I've had a drink I think it rhymes with anker
