What has happened to Snapfish and Jessops

Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone could shed any light on what has happened to in-store printing in Jessops via Snapfish?

I used to be able to upload my photos to Snapfish, choose the prints and then ask for them to be printed at Jessops (or Klick), often using the one hour service. I could then nip into town and pick them up later. They would be printed in the Jessops store and placed in a Snapfish envelope.

Jessops now has something called Jpics, but this does not seem to offer the same service. It looks like some sort of third party company doing the out of store printing services.

Anyone any ideas or recommend a similar service by another company?

Thanks.

There have been rumiours that Jessop are finding the recession hard going, whether this has something to do with this I don't know. Wayne

I got some photos printed instore (dropped into store, not via any online service) at Jessops in Manchester the other day. I didn't notice any different signage but the staff were both American

Anyway, opted for the 25 minute service...they were done in 10! So no drop in levels of service..whoever it is.

DSG - Jessops owners (along with Curries & Dixons) are heavily struggling and were even before the "credit crunch", it may well be a cost cutting exercise!

When did Jessops become part of DSGi ??

Nothing about it on the DSGi Web site...

I don't know what's going on, but I used the new jessops online ordering and the prints were $$$$$$! Some photos were blurry, some were over sharpened, others came back cropped so they had white boarders. I made a complaint and they had the nerve to say it was either down to the camera I used or my photography skills... well I use a D300 and I think I'm pretty good myself, plus I had the same files printed at One Vision and they came back stunning! Very disappointed and refusing to use them again for any of my snapshots!
