1.4x or something

I think some of the cheaper third party ones will be ok.

Depends what you mean by "OK".

Some of the cheaper third party ones will physically fit. But you won't be able to AF reliably, if at all, and the image quality will take a big hit.

There's a reason Canon don't make this lens compatible with their Extenders, you know.

just dont waste your moeny on one.
you will be better off looking at the budget long zoom lenses which will give you better image quality over your lens combined with the extender.
