what is the best polarizing filter?

I am looking at the B+W slim MRC circular polarizing filter and was wondering if this is the best one. If it is not the best, what is? Thanks

P.S
it's for a Canon 24-70 markII (82mm size).

Okay here are a couple of them that I don't know what the difference is.

Marumi are pretty good and not overly expensive

Käsemann. Are the top of the B+W range, I find mine to give a much more subtle effect than a cheap Hoya I had, the sky does not go really really blue with the Käsemann as it did before. Unless your going to use it in the harshest of weather condition not really worth the extra over standard MRC.

Unless you absolutely need the slim version DO NOT buy one, the lens covers always fall off, go for the normal one.

I asked HoppyUK that a year or so ago. He did a comprehensive test of one of the mags and recommended

  • Hoya HD as best overall (transmits more light and has a good coating)
  • B+W Kasemann MRC
  • Marumi Super DHG

B+W 105mm Kasemann MRC Circular Polariser Filter. If you're using the Lee filter system it's probably the best option.

I would add two new ones to that list, Hoya Revo and also Marumi Exus that is similar to the Hoya HD.

Thanks for all your help. I went with this one

B+W 82mm XS-Pro Mrc Nano Ksm Circular Polarizer.

I'm going to Thailand and Cambodia in two weeks for vacation and I know I will be shooting in the middle of the day so that is why I wanted the best I could find. This should do the trick. Thanks again for the help.

Does that fit the Lee holder as it seems to in your pic?

Edit: OK I've answered my own question with a bit of research online!
