Hi guys I'm just interested to see what is the oldest bit of photo gear you guys use on a regular basis(say 2-3 times per month)
The reason I ask is that during a shoot my model asked if my light meter was vintage. When I worked it out I realised that my Minolta Flash Meter lV which I use 2 - 3 times per week is 22 years old.
Do you have any old gear which still get a lot of use?

Me:D

Canon FL lenses or Minolta MC lens, not sure which is older both are late 60s/early 70s.

Ross Ensign Selfix 820, made about 1951 I think. I did have the 420 which was made in 1940 and I used to use a Leica 1 from 1928. At the moment my most used bit of kit is a Rolleicord Va type 11 grom 1958, relatively modern.... :D

I have a Weston light meter, probably only use it once a month and a Leica cable release which it did use regularly, but have just given it to my Dad to use on his Nikon.

1973 Zorki, Contax RTS and 139 with lenses to match.

... and a Velbon tripod.

Manfrotto tripod - it's lived in the boot of various cars for very nearly 30 years.

I have an MPP 5 x 4 dark slide, it's about 45 years and I still keep it in my bag and use it as sun occasionally.

Rolleicord V - 1954.

I have older cameras but not in regular use.

Benbo tripod,some time around 1980

I used to own a Vivitar 70-200 f/3.5 manual lens, and used it quite a bit. I believe it was made around 1978.

Sold it on a while back, to someone that would make better use of the old gem. I'm all AF and modern now, the oldest thing I use atm is my Yongnuo 560 flash, which is about 4 years old.

Nikon 35-70 2.8 gets used very regularly, I don't know it's exact age as they made AF-D versions from 1992 right up to 2005

Pentax Spotmatic F with Pentax SMC Takumar 55mm f1.8; I brought it from the original owner a few years ago, who had purchased it in 1973.

Mid sixties Takumars (M42 thread - 55mm f1.8 and 135mm f3.5), and mid eighties Minolta zooms (beercan style - 70-210 f4, 28-85 f3.5/f4.5), various Pentacons.

My contax g lenses I have no idea how old they are but my sony a7 is brand new and that's all I have ....

Hi, Probably my "Sinar" monorail or my "Linhof".

Both 5x4 film cameras that were passed on to me by my father when he retired. I use at least one of them virtually every day for studio work. I have no idea of how old either of them are.

Zeiss Ikon Netter camera dated 7th June 1954 with a Weston MkIV light meter.

Probably some Nikon AI and AI-S lenses, my 28mm f/2.8 spends a lot of time on my camera and a recently purchased 55mm f/3.5 holds up surprisingly well against a 60mm f2.8 afs.
