What lens next for my D7100?

I have a 50mm f1.8g, 16-85 and 70-300 for my D7100.

I'm not sure what to go for next.

I shoot a wide range of subjects, the 70-300 is my equestrian lens, the 16-85 general purpose and the 50 for portraits etc.

Was thinking about the 35mm f1.8g for those times the 50 is too long. Or maybe a wide angle, although I'm not a big shooter of landscapes.

What would you say is missing from my bag (apart from fast zoom glass which I don't really need).
 
From what you've said you seem to have all bases covered. Use what you have and then you will find gaps, if any.

Other than that you're into the realms of better rather than more.

Basically, this ^^.

If you don't know what you need, you likely don't need anything.
 
Agree with the others.

(If you do want a wide angle lens though, I can recommend the Tokina 11-16 pro.)
 
Unless you're missing or need 2.8 on your zooms, nothing springs to mind. :)
 
Your in my boat JJ. I've got the 35mm and the 50mm and often ponder why i picked up both!

I use the 70-300 for equestrian stuff also, however, next on my hit list is a 70-200 2.8 which will take over the equestrian stuff, then a 24-70 2.8 followed by a wide angle and more than likely a step up to a FF camera after that. Plans change though, its all down to monies!
 
Sell the 70 / 300 and get a sigm a70 / 200 2.8 VR. It really is a superb lens. Can get fabulous shots of horses inside stables, or in the exercise yard..

Or the Tokina 11 - 16 2.8. Thats what i did
