Yes
well i currently havde a d90 with kit lens 18-105, a 50mm 1.8 and a bigma 50-500mm,

i like to do a variety of photos, my bigma is my bird lens and sport lens, my 50mm is my portrait lens however id like another portrait lens with zoom with better quality glass and spec than the 18-105.

open to ideas so let me know what you think.

Cheers

sorry for having dyslexia....

any how back to it. im looking for a quality lower end LENS so 18 - ???

Budget?

Best option is a 24-70 2.8 Nikon, but for £200-£250 second hand you can get a Tamron 28-75 2.8 which I have. The Nikon 17-55 2.8 is also a very good bet, as is the Tamron 17-50 2.8, so depends on the focal length that suits.

You also have the 70-200VR to consider

Siggies 150mm f2.8 macro cracking LENS :p

But without a buget in mind it's hard to say. Money no object go for the 24-70 2.8

Budget? Then go for 17-55 Tamron hell of a lens for the money! :D

Portrait lens eh? 24-70mm f2.8 or shock horror 70-200mm f2.8.

70-200mm sounds odd but you tend to get better framing of features and less of a 'dome effect' if the subject is slightly further away.

cool thanks for the ideas guys, budget is abit unknown at the min (iv spent too much this month already, bigma, grip and sb600) so im thinking in a couple of months time really so prob about 200ish but i may wait a tad longer and spend that bit more :)

& whats wrong with Nikons beast (28-70mm f2.8) (apart from its over your budget & a lot less cheaper than the 24-70 :p)
