If u could have any lens for you’re 7d no matter the price what would it be
And why?
 
Canon EF 85mm f1.2 L USM II would be nice for portraits.
Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8L IS USM II be great too, lots of uses.

Canon EF 200mm f2.0 L IS USM could be great for sport.

Impossible to choose just one lens, I don't really get the point of the question.
 
Ok what is the lens that stays on you’re camera 90% of the time and gets used.

It's an internet photography chat forum. People like to chat about cameras and lenses and stuff. Thought it was pretty obvious, really :bang: :thinking: :lol:
 
The new 400mm f2.8 and a set of the new x1.4 and x2 TC's. Now that would be as good as it gets for me! Just a shame I won't have the £12k that it would cost!

Even with the weight reduction of the new version I still reckon it'd be too heavy to walk around with all day. I think I'd go for the new 300 f2.8 - it's lighter and only £5600

But doesn't go to 800mm with the x2. The mere thought of buying it is what makes me go to the gym every week!

On a 7D?
 
24 - 70 F2.8 L stays on my 7D about 80% of the time. It's simply fantastic, IMHO. (Heavy though - lol!)

I have the 70 - 200 F2.8 L as well (non IS) which is my only other lens. In the future, I might be tempted to add a 100 F2.8 IS macro and one of the L series wide angle zooms, but I rarely find something that my two lenses can't cope with that I want to shoot. But then we are, of course, all into different types of photography.
 
I think I would go for the 24mm f1.4L as I'm a fan of lightweight set ups. Having said that the 70-200f2.8 IS II and 100mm L macro wouldn't be too far behind.
 
Zeiss 50mm f0.7 for me, probably work quite well on a 7D actually.

Since budget isn't a problem i'd pay for someone to EF mount it and add AF

Actually i'd maybe ask the same of the 75mm f0.85 or the 90mm f1.0

Tough question anyway but as you can tell i kind of dig my fast primes.
 
Possibly the new 100 -400 if it lives up to its figures.

If not, another vote for the 400 f2.8 or the 300 f2.8.

I'd sell the 7d and buy a better camera since the price never mattered lol


all would depend on what you are shooting. not everyone needs an 800 f5.6.

for me it would be the 200mm f2.0
 
The soon to arrive 100-400 L IS II f/4. It's gonna be lovely!
