Oh, don't get me started on Mr. Rockwell. He openly admits to being a bull****** on his own website! Taken from his about page:

I use my Sigma 70mm f2.8 on a cropped sensor. Lovely lens, very sharp wide open.

Well he has a list on on his review of the 5D MkII of things that Canon need to change/improve/remove and three quarters of it is incorrect or misleading. :shrug:

Anyway, OP: if you're using a crop sensor, you can't go wrong with a 50mm prime. Using full-frame? How about an 85mm one.
