I've taken the plunge and ordered a MacBook Pro. It'll come with 2GB of RAM, but I want to up that to 4GB.

Can someone please suggest what memory I should get and where from?

Thanks (y)

Crucial, put in the details of your Mac and they will show you the options available...

Checked the Crucial site, and 2 x 2GB modules for the Mac Book Procost about £58.

However I got mine installed at the Apple store for about £100. OK a bit more expensive but at the time Crucial didn't do memory at the speed for the Mac Book Pro

Thanks for all the replies. I got a 4GB DDR3 kit from Crucial. Means I've got 2GB to sell on!

Fontmoss - it is very easy to install RAM in a Macbook.

Remove battery
Remove 3 screws
Pull latches to release existing RAM
Replace
Reverse procedure

There's even a page for it on the Apple Support site here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1651
