I'll be looking for a second hand mid range zoom for the Nikon d700, but which one?
70-200 will be covered by the Nikkor F/4. And in the future, 16-35 will also be covered by a Nikkor F/4 (hopefully). Which leaves a gap in the middle.
So, I need your suggestions as to how to fill that gap. The image quality should be close to the two F/4 lenes.
I've started to look at older Nikon 35-70 F/2.8's for around £220-£250, and the Tokina 28-70 F/2.8 (bit soft around the edges apparently, but about £150).
Yes, I'd like a Nikkor 24-70 F/2.8 for not likely to find one for sub £250! ( not even the 28-70 F/2.8 either
