What mounts fit the sony alpha from minolta.

found one of these on ebay Minolta 80-240mm f/4.5-5.6 APO, and considering it, but it is a 'V' mount. Would this require an adapter. Googled it and can't find the simple yes or no answer !:bang:

it won't fit any A-mount Alpha (or NEX which are also Alphas but E-mount) & afaik there are no adapters for V-mount to anything.
Shame really as the 80-240mm was a cracking little lens & there were 1 or 2 other little gems.

FYI Minolta SR mount (also known as MC & MD) = manual focus, adapters to A-mount available but need an optical element for infinity focus so usually not worth it as IQ suffers.
