To all you canon and nikon users who shoot hd video what programs do you use to create a video dvd with all your videos on that retains high quality?

Something I'm starting to wonder about too. More expense :)

I've seen Pinnacle HD v14 ultimate or something recommended at under £100 but i've only just started looking.

I dont shoot HD with a DSLR, but for video shot with my HD camcorder I use Adobe Premier Elements. Its about £60 or you can get a bundle with Photoshop Elements for £100. You can download a 30 day trial from Adobe if you want to try Premier Elements out.

There is free software available to do all this but I've not looked into it tbh.

On the Mac you can use iMovie and iDVD. Although I found that iMovie 8/9* aren't as good as iMovie6 when it comes to encoding for burning to DVD.
*I think the later versions are geared more towards sharing movies via YouTube.
Hence slightly lower quality when sent to iDVD

Of course all this means nothing if you use PC's

I use Final Cut Studio. It has Final cut pro for movie making and it has dvd studio pro for dvd burning. But I rarely burn DVDs. I use AppleTV to watch my movies in HD on my plasma instead.
