What s/h Nikon primes should I buying for D700/D800

Currently a DX user but thinking my next camera in about 2 years will have to be D700 or hopefully D800. Won't be able to buy fast zooms so want to gradually invest in top quality primes in anticipation. Probably have to be s/h and not too worried about A/F but do want manual aperture (not G lens).

main interest in wider lenses for landscape and architecture

Definitely look at the 28mm f/3.5 AI - been using that with my D700 for a few weeks now and it has replaced my 28mm f/2.8 D lens. Typically £40-£80 and definitely better quality build than any "G" lens :cool:

I had a 14mm f2.8 for a while- great lens although I'd buy the 14-24 for the job you want. Now that is a truly great lens and a joy to use. Can even get filters now for it without having to bodge- though you could still do that.
