Hi guys,

Picking up a D7000 tomorrow :bonk::bonk::bonk: and I see it has 2 card slots.
I've got an old 4gb card in my D60 now, so presuming I should upgrade whilst I get the camera as I'm not spending any money after picking up the camera.

What would you recommend? I'd like to get two if possible, utilise the space etc, but I don't know what to aim for. Don't want to go mental on cost/size, but don't want to buy something cheap that'll be dead and being replaced in no time.

Mine have Lexar Pro 16GB from my memory £15.50 each

very fast even shooting raw on continuous mode

i think the transcend red sticker card does 45meg write and 90ish read, think thats the best value fast card

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm gonna either try and get some from Castle Cameras tomorrow, or online!

SanDisk Extreme is what I use, they're brilliant.

7dayshop 32 gig class 10 cards in mine.

Using 16GB Sandisk Ultra (Class 10), cost me about £9 each.

I've heard stories of other brands failing (Amazon reviews confirm this) and the extreme isn't really necessary for normal use as the card is still very slow compared to the internal buffer on your camera.

That's a good price vRS, I just nipped to currys and picked up 2 pny 16gb for £20 as I'm inpatient.

Not shot properly with them in my d7000, but I can't see an issue really. I've also got a pair of Sandisk SD's, can't remember the model but they're 30mb class 10's so the same as the pny from currys and can't say I see a difference between a big brand and a non descript.
