Got out early today, and caught this one on an old stump. Haven't a clue if its a he or a she. I do know it was extremely wary.

I agree, to my knowledge the female doesn't have a red patch.

Thankyou all for your comments, had i known that the little red patch was diagnostic of sex, i might have looked closer at the next frame in the sequence. In this crop of that shot, it is more noticeable. So by common concensus,,,its a male. :bonk:
