Thinking aloud here on what to get now! Have an ever growing kit bag and want to make sure everything will be used so planning on selling a couple of bits soon, and maybe updating some bits... Probably will have around £1k to spend (may have a bit more), once i sell my X100 and 300mm f4... So...
- Sell D700 too and get a D800, a very good camera and will last for many years hopefully
- Get the Nikon 16-35 f4, started using wide angle more of late, and this is a peach!
- Sell my 70-200 VR and get the VR2 or possibly the f4, maybe get a TC too so I still have length at air shows.
- Get a Leica M3!! Really want a M9 but over budget! Why? Just because I love the look and do enjoy film - no use for me paid work wise!
Keeping for sure will be D300 (backup and not worth much now), 24-70 (legend of a lens and staple for paid stuff), 50mm 1.4 & 85mm 1.8 as I like primes. Aside from paid work (portraits and odd wedding) I also use it for the kids, out and about and general stuff.
Anyway, as a bit of fun... ideas please...
