Right guys What should I do I have the money to buy a nikon d600 but I'm not shore what to do I was thinking of keeping my d3100 and buying a 70 200 2.8 or something or may be buy a d7000 and a lens what do you guys think

What sort of stuff do you shoot? D600 and D7000 is pretty much the same in terms of size, build quality etc but the D600 have a full frame sensor and the d7000 is crop sensor.

Thanks for the reply i will be shooting portraits and hopefully weddings and new born

For portraits, definitely D600. Just got one and the difference is massive :)... You get less DOF but better low light and Dynamic Range...

thanks for the replies i was thinking of a d7000 and 70 200 2.8 in stead of the d600
or keeping my d3100 and just buy the lens or do you guys thing the d3100 isnt up to weddings i do a few portrait shot and i happy with the results

I had the 17-55mm f2.8 while I still had my D3000 and it wasn't well balanced. I had upgraded to my D7000 by the time I got my 70-200mm f2.8 and I just can't imagine that being good (balance wise) on the D3100, the body is just way too small IMO, it's bad enough on the D7000. Hope this helps.

If I where being paid I wouldn't even consider shooting someone's big day without a back up camera, if you are happy with results 3100 use that as a back up, you may find the answers you are after in the business section to, plenty of experience in this field in there.

Kevin
