Evening all

Am just venting frustration really... at myself, because I'm quite excited for some reason and am unable to focus on anything tonight and it's driving me a bit :cuckoo:

Thing is, when I was in Hong Kong a few weeks ago I had a brief love affair with a Nikkor 17-55, but having just bought a motorbike for our holiday home in the Philippines I didn't think my bank manager would be too chuffed with me :nono: Again.

So, having put my sensible hat on when I got home I ordered up a Sigma 18-50 f2.8 to replace the Sigma 18-50 f2.8 that I regretted selling a while ago from the moment I posted it :'(

The Sigma arrived and it was a pretty rubbish copy, so I sent it back for a refund and began 4 days of quietly sulking to myself.

Over Easter my lovely wife suggested I order the Nikkor 17-55. And to grow up :dummy:

Being as wonderful as she is, she even offered to pay for half of it :D

So at lunchtime I ordered it, it was despatched at 4pm today and should be here by midday tomorrow. I mean jeez, is there no quicker courier from Devon to Northern Ireland?? :bang: Cheapskates ;)

So I have no idea how I'll last until tomorrow. Is this a normal behavior pattern when you order your first bit of £££ glass

I always get all frustrated, and short, and annoyed. Mainly because I spend most of the week deciding if I should buy something, then order it too late in the week to have it before the weekend.

For example, I'm buying a D300s next week, but I want it sooner so I'm considering going overdrawn and pay for it now. By the time I decide, it'll be too late, and I'll end up getting it next week anyway, having gone overdrawn.

pesky stupid annoying wonderful camera stuff

Woohoo!! It arrived :D

Royal Mail managed to completey mash the box but Mifsuds packed it really well, so the Nikon box was perfect inside.

Initial impressions are

A lot of money (for me ) but worth it. And it's not as big and heavy as I remember in the shop... fits the D300s a treat!
