ok i have a 600d with the standard lens, 50mm prime and a 70-200. I'm into car photography and sports as well.

I would like to take it to the next level and treat my self to a new lens. im unsure about whats gonna be ideal for me and would really like your guys input. yes im new but would love some guidance.

Hi Adam, what about the Canon 10-22? I think it would compliment your existing lenses and would come in handy for car shoots.

Just my 2 cents.
 
Surely what you want to shoot determines the gear you need. I've got a whole list of gear I need, all based on stuff I want to have a go at. It would never occur to me to want gear and not know why:thinking:
 
At the moment I'd say you've most of the general range covered. If it was me I would just get to grips with those and make the most of them. The way I usually decide on my next purchase is after a few occasions of "I wish I had a......." After I've had that a few times then I splash out. Recently I found that in PP I was having to crop a lot of my wildlife pictures. Guess what my last purchase was? A lens with more focal length. You may find what you actually need is to replace lenses with faster glass first so as avoid using flash.

Enjoy what you have and learn the limitations of those first.
