What To sell 30D or 400D

A friend has offered me a Canon 40D at a very good price so one of the 400D or 30D has to go but which one,the 30D has the same batteries and charger as the 40D and it's obviously better built.The 400D on the other hand has the bigger sensor,10 as opposed to 8.5 and also has the sensor cleaning.
Any guidance much appreciated.
 
Megapixels schmegapixels. Keep the 30D.
 
The obvious to me would be to keep the 30D and sell the 400D to try and recoup the outlay from the 40D and then use the 30D as backup. The 40D by all accounts is a damn good camera, although I personally haven't owned one, and will serve you well. Given time and the finances you may decide to sell the 30 and the 40 and update to another body, but of course that depends on how you feel and what you shoot.
 
Depends what you'd need your backup for. If you want two cameras of similar performance to use simultaneously with two lenses, keep the 30D.

If you want something lighter weight and smaller for the times when you don't need the speed of the 40D, keep the 400D.

Or as menthel suggested, selling both would go some way towards a nice bit of glass if you can do with only one body.

Thanks for the comments guys I need 2 bodies for the occasional weddings I doand thee tax man has kindly sent me an unexpected cheque thats goung towards a lens soon.
I think though that the 400 goes and the 30 stays

If you have been using these already for the occasional weding you do, presume you used the 30D with the 400D as a backup ?

If so, yes I'd agree to sell on the 400D
