Hi guys,

Would appreciate some recommendations for tripod & head to take my Canon 5dMKIII?

I like the idea of a carbon fibre but any advise gratefully received.

Is it for outdoor use/travelling or studio/indoor work?
 
As above need to know what use you want out of it.

I personally use a manfrotto 055X and live there equipment, I also use a manfrotto monopod.

I have often seen people,say get the best you can afford. I know so keen who had £4,000 of equipment on a £30 tripod and was very annoyed when it fell over and broke the lens from the body.

What kind of lenses do you want to use with the camera? A tripod suitable for a 600mm is a completely different beast to a tripod suitable for a fisheye...

Canon EF 24 to 70mm F2.8 L USM Zoom Lens
Canon EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 L IS USM Zoom Lens
Canon EF 28-135mm F3.5 - 5.6 IS USM Zoom Lens

I have one of these and it's been good. No issues. I use this head on it.
