what tripod

What lenses will you be using? Will you be taking it on 10 mile hikes or using it at home? Are you very tall? Do you want it for portraits, landscapes, wildlife, macro?

All these are questions that really need to be answered before a sensible suggestion can be made.

You probably wont get any better than a manfrotto 190xdb or xprob kit under 100 quid. Also consider the redsnapper. Good value and the RSH-12 ball head is quite nice too.

ok first of all thanks for taking the time to reply to my post, i have decided after checking reviews for te redsnapper tripod i have decided to buy this one, i needed it for wildlife and indoor still shots so this one looks ideal,
