What tripod?.....

Firstly, sorry for asking this.

I know this question has been done to death.
However, everyone has different needs and requirements, so thought I'd start a fresh thread.

When I first got my SLR, I bought a Manfrotto 785B tripod. I got it dirt cheap from Jessops, so at the time thought it would be ideal.

However, I now have an assortment on lenses, including a 150-500mm Sigma lens.

I don't think my Manfrotto is up to the job!!!

I've been looking around, but can't quite believe the price of the good ones!
I know you get what you pay for, but blimey!!!

Can anyone recommend a good value for money tripod that will be suitable of comfortably holding my Sony a450 SLR with Sigma 150-500mm lens attached.

Ideally it needs to fold up nice an compact, as I carry it attached to my camera bag.

Bump.......

It's now got to the stage when the tripod and head can't support the heavy sigma lens.

Any recommendations of sturdy tripods able to support a heavy lens?
