Yes
Disney holiday booked for next year so thinking of an underwater camera for when water is involved! Normally shoot nikon d700 and fuji x pro so iq is important for me. Needs decent battery life and video but iq is most important. Budget is flexible as would try to buy used then sell again, or even buy new then resell so not fussed as long as it's probably below £500 ish.

All the reviews I've read recently suggested the Olympus TG2 but the TG3 has just come out at a ridiculous price.

(Looking to get one for my honeymoon to Mauritius in August).

I have an Olympus TG-830 which is up their with the better ones, I had a Nikon AW110 too and was hugely disappointed..

I really like the Oly but if IQ is important then you should take underwater compacts off of your list, IQ is more than acceptable and the features are everything needed in a holiday camera and things like 240fps 720p straight out of camera is blooming brilliant, it shines for video, shines for features, nearly shines for IQ.. Bargain at £130 though.

£500 odd why nothave a look at Nikon AW1, or have you looked at housing for your current gear?

Housings are over £1k and not sure that the d700 will be my main camera out there.

Don't know too much about go pro but know they are great for video. If they have decent still capability then it will probably be one of them I go for.

their still capability is pretty good, although I do have a couple of comments to qualify that with. Obviously you can't shot anything but auto, and they're not marvellous in the dark or very high contrast situations. But both of which are also true for they're video capability too
