Had a demo of this tech last year (on a mobile phone rather than a P&S). Works susprisingly well, but nothing more than a gimmick to tell the truth. Maybe has applications in portable media players, but not in a camera

I love the implication (from the photo on the front page of the link) that the projector will be daylight viewable.

I somewhat have my doubts at 10 lumens

I have also seen a projector which was about the size of a mobile phone, thought it was kind of a good idea, take it with you on holiday etc, now if you can play a movie through this camera, that would be cool !

I agree 10 Lumens in daylight is going to be a bit of a struggle. I also wonder what the battery drain will be like when using the projector.

The question I have to ask is Why? Probably 'cos they can
