What would JC do?

[jerry12953]

Interesting to see from a very quick skim of the photo mags that one of the most well known large format landscape photographers is now using ........

.....a Nikon D700....... (shocked gasp!)

[joxby]

I'm sure he uses lots of cameras and different mediums..
I use film mostly, but I use digital too if I feel like it.
If I wanted a 5x4 film landscape, a D700 wouldn't quite do it...

sign of the times though....

Nah, its a diverse occupation, use the tool that will get you what you want in that particular situation.
There is no way on Earth JC shoots a D700 in preference to 5x4 film for every situation.

[Gandhi]

Yeah, even Colin Prior uses a Canon now and stitches his panoramas.

We're all ****ed. There's no going back. Digital is inevitable.

Sold mine. It was **** compared to 5x4.

Assuming you mean Mr Cornish?

He is now using Hassleblads with a 39mp Phase 1 back - and offers course on using it too

What? And a D700?

The man's entered the 21st Century, for gawd's sake!

But reluctantly, I'd hazard a guess.
