What Would You Do?

Another spec me, but I would like to see what people would choose rather than thoughts etc. Over the last number of years I have gone through stacks of gear (for me anyway) From kit lenses to fast glass, from crop to full frame and back. Now I'm at the stage of 600D and kit 18-55 and come up with the following lens options for my budget. which would you choose? Either keep my kit lens (which has served me very well) and add a fast prime, or swap out my kit for the faster Tamron.

18-55 + 70-300IS
18-55 + 100 2.8 Macro
18-55 + 85 1.8
18-55 + 50 1.4
18-55 + 30 1.4 (Sigma)
17-50 2.8 (Tamron) + 50 1.8

Looking at your Flickr, I guess you want a combo of a wide lens for landscape/art/etc, and a fast prime for people.

So I vote for your final option - 17-50mm zoom + 50mm f/1.8.

17-55 but I'd not bother with a 50 F1.8. F2.8 is wide enough for most at 50mm and you've got 50mm on the 17-55. Get the 100F2.8 macro, its different
