What you really like about photography sites

After the 'What really annoys you about photography sites' proved to be really useful, I thought it would be helpful to have a thread of the likes of websites.

Things I like to see would be simple navigation, I don't want to have to really search through lots of pages to find something. I also really like large images that make me say wow!(They don't work with every website though.)

I was just talking about photography sites in general, but for that example, I would have to disagree. To get to the actual content of the website, I had to watch the intro, 9 times out of 10 I would just leave the website at that point.

Dark neutral backgrounds (yes, black ), they set photos off nicely, and IMO better than white or grey as there is nothing else to draw the eye away. Large photos are good too, there seems to be a trend for smaller and smaller photos on TP as well as other sites, 500px on the longest side really isn't a good size!

i like photography sites because you get ot see what photos *** have taken and are willing to share, freindlyness, helpfull and up for a laugh
