Whats the best remote shutter release for nikon d700

Not sure what's the best cord or wireless shutter release system for taking long exposures.....

Neither is best really, just whichever you prefer. I use a wired yongnuo which does the job.

Why is this not safe for work? Is it because it's a Nikon thread?



..anyway, to be helpful rather than flippant, as long as there's a bulb lock on the release, either is good. Some wireless releases seem to have terrible range, or need you to be almost in front of the camera before you get any response, so if you're saving money go for a wired one.

Dont bother with the nikon, waste of money. Just get a yongnuo or similar off of ebay for £20.

+1. I bought a Yongnuo off EBay last year and it's been fantastic. They are also made under several other brands but are identical. Think I paid £22 for it with the Canon version being 4 times that price.

I went for a Pixel TW-282 wireless/wired which arrived yesterday, so hasn't yet been fully evaluated. Main gripe is that, contrary to the eBay listing, in intervalometer mode the number of shots goes from 1-99 to exhaustion of battery or card, rather than 1-9999 or exhaustion.
