...between a Canon 450D or a 1000D?

I'm looking to get my first camera in a few weeks and have read lots on here about the 450D which I was favouring but the 1000D is a lot cheaper...

What has the 450D got that the 1000D hasn't?

Is it worth paying the extra and sticking with the 450d?

Thanks

Thanks for the link. I'm not sure what to do...

I had the 450d and loved it but sold it and bought the 400d and a much better lens and i loved the 400d as well. Save the money mate as both cameras will serve you well. Spend the extra moneyt on a lens like me and your photo's will improve more than they would with a better body.

Be careful with the 1000D kit leans deals as there are two options.
The cheapest is with the older non IS 18-55mm lens and the other one is with the newer 18-55IS lens.

You are looking at about £90 difference between the 1000D and 450D with the IS lens.

Of course, good quality lenses do make a difference to the quality of photos.
However, this will come with time as you learn more about photography.

+1 I could not agree more
