Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section. Hope I dont confuse you to much, if you dont understand just say.

Basically i was taking photos and it was pretty wet. I ended up stoping but my camera was really wet so dryed it off etc. . .

I was taking photos again ( wasn't raining ) and basically... it wasn't focusing.. or after i took a photo when it did focus ( wouldn't let me view the photo ) and then didn't focus... for example if it was on M instead of AF. ( on the lens ) I then changed lenses.. and it was fine? This was with my 55-200mm tamron lens. I ended up using my basic lens. I'm going into Glasgow tomorrow so will pop into some camera shop like Jessops . Just wanted to ask before I did and to take the worry away. Please someone tell me my camera will be ok? lol I get worried over nothing

Sounds like you got water in the lens! Let it dry somewhere warm but not hot!
Then try it again. This happened to my mate with a similar lens and after drying overnight it works fine. You could also try GENTLY wiping the AF contacts on the lens with a LINTFREE cloth.

the fact you keep calling a lens a lens is not going to help lol

you got your camera wet and have probably fried some circuit board which won't be covered by any warrenty. Jessops can't fix cameras and the glasgow shops are staffed by idiots anyway lol

Ignore the ignorant wallys

dry it out gently...and with a bit of luck your LENS will be O.K.. I have the same lens and I reckon it to be a cracker:bang::bang::bang::bang::bang:

I always keep about 5 or 6 silica gel satchets in my camera bag to help prevent moisture damage.

Spence

Sorry Spencer, you're wasting your time. Unless kept in an airtight container, the silica gel will be rendered saturated and of no further use in a short space of time. The constant change of air within your bag will not be dried.
