What's your favourite lens?

Hmmmm, just one you say?

Pretty much makes it a zoom as the primes would be a tad too restrictive.

So Sigma 15-30mm, Sigma 24-70 f2.8, Canon 24-105mm F4, Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 or Canon 70-200 f4?

Now that's tricky, first one to go would be the Sigma 15-30mm too wide for people and flares like a *****. Next down the Canon 70-200mm f4. I have two and the Sigma gives me f2.8 so by default the Canon gets it!

Canon 24-105mm or Sigma 70-200mm?

The 24mm end of the Canon is fab for landscapes and buildings and the 105mm end is great for portraits but it's pretty shocking indoors at f4 it becomes a very useful doorstop.

So again almost by default it would be the Sigma 70-200 f2.8.......................and I'd take the Leica compact for anything wider. :)

Well you didn't say I couldn't take another camera? :)

Ok I'll play :D

Nikon 28-70 f2.8 (aka the beast). Bang for buck, secondhand; this lens just shines

In a very close second place my 70-200VR f2.8

Okey dokey;

Here are mine...........:D

17-55 F2.8
28-80 F3.5
35 F2
17-50 F2.8
85 F1.8
105 F2.8
70-300 F4-5.6
80-200 F2.8
80-400 F4.5-5.6
180 F2.8
200 F2
300 F4
300-800 F5.6

If i Had to keep one lens and one alone............:cautious:..............It would be the siggy3-8.

But the Nikon 2-4 must be a corker, never used one,but it must be a cracker.

The 200/2 is a lens I would so loooove to try.

Canon EF100 Macro closely followed by the Sigma 12-24 EX DG.

My 85mm f1.4 is my favourite lens, by a long way, however - the 24 to 70 f2.8 seems far more versatile, takes filters, and is just used more.

I like mostly all of my lenses though.

Gary.

17-55 f2.8 is

I rarely use any thing else these days. I do not, it seems, have much use for my longer or shorter lenses

At the moment it would be the 400mm f5.6, I use it nearly all the time. Next week it could be something else...ficcle?

500/4 for me. Which is why I am having a clear out. 300/2.8 has gone, 400/5.6 is about to go and 70-200/2.8 is for sale...

500/4 will probably out live me! Although I do wish Canon did a "pro" spec 200-400/4 like the N-word people do!

For me it would be the Canon 70-200f2.8L, it is my go to lens for both motorsports and portraits.

Canon 24-105L. Sharper, quieter and quicker to focus than anything I've had my hands on before.

I have only 3 lens's, and I love them all the same :D

But seriously, they all do very different things. There's no way I can have any preference.
For landscapes and buildings etc I love my Sigma 10-20mm, for wildlife/motorsports/airshows etc I love my 70-300mm VR and for everything else I love my Sigma 18-50mm
