in order to fit your grip, where do you store the ikkle door for safe keeping.

Well I suppose the obvious place would be a compartment in your camera bag.Now can you help me find my wireless network adaptor.:D
 
Most grips have somewhere to store the door?
 
In the canon grip there is a built in section to put the cover so it cant be lost.

The nikon grips have a little rubber section that comes out, there's a spot in the grip to put it for safe keeping. Us that what you mean?
 
Well, I've found the little compartment inside the grip for storing the door. But :(

You're going to have to try harder :)
 
I've now ventured into parts of my office/study that haven't seen daylight for years. I have a feeling I may have put the ikkle door into the box that the grip arrived in. If i've kept the box (i'm not very good with boxes) then it will be in the attic. The next expedition into that particular territory isn't scheduled until 2013 :(
 
Just store it in the grip, then if you ever have an issue with the grip while out and about, or a need to un-grip you can do so...as everything you need it there with you :)
 
Canon bodies have a little storage section for it in the actual battery compartment where it simply slides down the side.

At least my 400d did.

If you don't have a canon ignore me as I'm on my iPhone and can't see what body you're using!

I braved the attic and, at the bottom of the last of three crates of empty boxes, I found the box for the grip. And the ikkle door therein :D

I'll now store it in the little home for it in the grip. Which I never knew about until this thread so thanks one and all.

I'm now officially knackered.

Ah I miss read your first post earlier, thought you were asking us to help you find a storing place, not where you HAD stored it :)

This thread has made me realise that I don't know where mine is :(

Is this storage compartment new? I don't see anything like that in my battery grip for my 30D :(

No it's always been there . Have you got a genuine grip ? it just tucks into the side of the battery contact part of the grip ( the contacts that go into the body . It's at the bottom on the shorter side of the grip if I recall .)
 
Ickle door stowage on grip (7D - my 50D was similar).

Other suggestions - grip box, body box, Wife's left boot (don't ask :shake:).
