Where and what PC?

Right I want to buy a PC and have no idea where to start

Do I buy from somewhere like PC World? What spec do I need for processing photo's using Lightroom, Photoshop and Photomatix etc?

I understand that the Dell 22" screen is a good one so will go for that so all I'm really after is the PC itself, any advise appreciated.

My budget just for the PC is around £450.

Somebody linked to a nice Dell desktop unit about that price last week I think - without search working I can't find it though.

Does the £450 include the 22" screen as well, or is that on a seperate budget?

No the £450 is just for the PC itself, I understand the screen is around £200. I have a total budget of around £700. Obviously need a new Keyboard and mouse and woud need some speekers.

For the PC, try Dell, both home and business. Dell business at the moment have some i5 based PC from about £350-vat-shipping.

Consider a self build or basing it on one of novatech's great barebones systems. You'll get more for your money and wont get stripped down components.
