It's not a communist country though....
 
I've had a lot of success selling all sorts of things on ebay. Very few timewasters and very rarely does anything go wrong: I've sold upwards of 1000 things on there and recon roughly 99% were completely problem free.
Generally my lower limit for what I bother selling myself is around £10 an item, anything less and I'll give it to the charity shop unless it's really niche and I don't expect them to be able to sell it themselves (and therefore may end up in landfill), in which case I'll list it on ebay. Always try to list on one of the max £1 selling fee weekends which come around frequently.
