I have seen a few comments on here about people reading Exif data on peoples submissions. I know where to find my own in Aperture 3 but how do you read others ?

I have a MacBook and am running on Mac OS X 10.6.8

Many thanks, Nick

download an exif reader mate theres loads of free ones but alot of people dont leave the data on or it gets stripped in the editing program

If there's a link to the photo on flickr, then go to Actions -> View Exif info. Also you can get an exif reader, as mentioned. If you have chrome, then go to the webstore and search "Exif Viewer" there's tons of them. I use the one by "andy.virvich"

If it's a pic on flickr, click through to the original file and then click on the bit in the top right that says "this photo was taken using a ....." (the camera name will be a link). This will take you through to the exif. Or you could do what Allfalldown suggests, and use the action button.

Otherwise, you can drag an image onto your desktop, open it in preview, go to TOOLS > INSPECTOR and the exif will be present if it hasn't been stripped. This is what I do for images that aren't hosted by flickr.

For those reading this who use windows, copy across, and go to properties, then details - lists the exif data still in tact there
