Where can I get a lens cap for a Canon 300mm 2.8IS

I am however open to suggestions. Just wondered if someone in the UK did something decent and easy to use, other than the bulky original part?

Op-Tech do neoprene lens hood covers which work well, use one on my 500mm in place or the Canon original.

I thought about getting something similar when I first got my lens a few years ago as the standard lens cap is a bit of a pain to use, but in the end most of the time I leave mine with no lens cap in place!

I simply reverse the lens hood to get it into my backpack and there's about a 1cm gap between the front element glass and the egde of the lens, so the glass never touches the inside of the backpack. To make sure there's no damage, even when walking long distances, I have a clean microfibre cloth folded in four that is about the same width as the diameter of the lens for added protection. As soon as I take it out of the backpack, I put on the lens hood and that's adequate enough protection, as I'm never shooting in hostile conditions such as sand storms by the sea. Not all my jackets or trousers would have a pocket big enough to store a big lenscap like this when using the lens out and about.

Went for one of the Aquatech ones in the end from USA (B&H). They seem to be pretty well regarded, as far as I can see.
