Where is the dust??

Morning all,

Just wanting advice (again). I've noticed my sensor is in need of a bit of a clean and am not worried about doing it myself. My question is looking through the viewfinder the dust is showing in the bottom right corner so would it be the bottom right corner of the sensor or is it opposite sides or something.

If you can see the dust looking through the viewfinder, then it isn't onthe sensor, its on the mirror or focus screen. Get yourself a blower and give the chamber a careful blow whilst holding camera face down, get rid of any loose dust.

I was about to post something similar, although I do have dust on my sensor, in the menu of my a700 you can set to manual clean this exposes the sensor unfortunatly the blower isn't removing the specks and I dont want to touch it with anything until I know the best way to do it, I will probably head off to a camera shop tomorrow morning!! any ideas welcome
I also had some dust under the focus screen and have had the same problem with my old dynax in the past which was a simple enough job, the sony has 2, 1 of which fell out and have scratched it so made the situation worse, although it doesn't effect the photo..infuriating nevertheless!!!

Thanks.. brilliant cleaning advice... make sure you read down to see if your sensor is coated i.e different fluid!!
