Where is this?

Link just takes me to the main Laura Ashley page :( and searching for the name gives the brilliant quote of
Your search for "Simon Weaver" was corrected to "kimono weave" and returned 58 results

Still just going to the general site page here:shrug:

Simon Weaver is a Welsh artist, and he has done a few works with Polperro as the subject.

The buildings behind the harbour look quite colourful and so far I can't see any pictures of Polperro looking like that. Tenby looks a possibility.

Yeah Tenby gets my vote too

As for the Laura Ashley site it is pretty crap isn't it? I even copied the "share" link for twitter etc. Bet they don't get much social media traffic :p

Studied a few pics online and it's definitely Tenby, but it's been flipped horizontally.

The harbour wall going he wrong way had me wondering for a while

Tenby...Definitely. imo.

i thought Polperro was that french clown which was on everyone's walls in the 80's

Lol that was a Pierrot

Groan

wasn't he the Dutch painter?

no.. you fool. It's a just something women do. A lot. As a bloke you're probably not familiar with it, unless of course you've ever chipped an eyelash or had man flu :D

Meanwhile back on the topic!!!

Done some more research on the internet and actually managed to find the artists very own website. Although the scene wasn't show on the website the other paintings on the website were of a same style and so I was confident I had got the right artist!

Simon Weaver has responded and he said:

"Yes, that picture is of Tenby. It's a detail taken from a larger picture
that shows more of the town and beach. Laura Ashley cropped it for their
print and also reversed the image."

Many thanks to everyone for their kind replies and the slightly off topic replies which made me laugh!

Glad you've found your answer, KoG. None of the posted links worked for me either (IE?) so not seen the pic. Hope you love and enjoy it for many years (the only reason to buy art IMO).
