I am about to buy a Sony HX9V compact(ish) camera and everywhere has the same price of £269 with a £40 cashback from Sony for purchase by 24/12/2011.

I prefer online as I feel there is better protection with the Distance Selling Regulations but from where?

I had a very very bad experience with Dixons so they are off the shortlist.

I know some places offer more than the 12 months warranty and in recent times, on other cameras, I see some retailers have offered a free bag thrown in.

Any suggestions would be welcome and most appreciated but need someone with good after sales - in case I return or have a fault.
 
I've used Bristol Cameras several times and I've never had a problem. They're usually one of the cheapest but for this Sony they are charging the same price as you've found.

Odd as just checked Bristol Cameras and the one I want is only available in store?
 
Oh yeah, I didn't spot that. You could always give them a call, but then again there are lots of on line places.
 
Decisions, decisions :thinking:

I see UKDigitalCamera do a bundle to include case, camera, SD card and 5 year warranty. I don't like the case but £300 for the lot seems good value? Wonder if they are OK to deal with?
