Where to get old versions of Andoid apps?

My mother-in-law has an OLD Android smartphone - my wife's cast-off, and it was a long in the tooth even when my wife used it - and it runs an old version of Android. So a lot of apps these days aren't compatible with it. She doesn't want/need to use it much - basically it's just a means of getting the odd weather forecast or train information when she's out and about, which isn't that often these days. So it's really not worth her getting a new model, and she doesn't want to have to learn anything new.

Is there anywhere to get old versions of popular apps, which would run on old versions of Android? Any suggestions?

You could try APK mirror, if anyone has older versions of popular apps then it will be them

you can go on t'interernet and just get the APK files you then can install them as long as you disable install only trusted apps on the phone.
