Morning all!

I've been asked by a client to order some prints on canvas.

As I'm a newbie, could anyone point me in the right direction for companies to use and offer and advice of what to look out for, and just as importantly, what not to buy...

Much appreciated!

Mike

There has been discussion as to whether cheapo prints are worth it or not (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=273381)

but I have ordered now 4 canvases from the place in this thread (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=265921&highlight=%A319.99)

and the quality of the print itself has been as good as the 1 which has cost 3x as much in my mind as one of the suppliers that I have gotten a canvas from, which is presently listed in this thread.
The main difference that I can see is the folding of the corner, and the fact that the cheapo ones did not have tape on the back (and they had a small url on the reverse of the print)

You could do worse than starting here
http://www.islphotoservices.co.uk/store/index.php

The guy used to offer a discount to users of this forum, dunno if that still applies, but I'm sure someone around here will be able to confirm it. Based in Leeds

There has been some very bad reports concerning reliability and delivery from them, although quality tends to be good.

You cant beat Oxford Imaging company, great products and service. My only supplier for clients.

i'm in a similar position and will look up some of these recommendations.

what kind of markup do people put on canvas prints? obviously the margin is less than regular prints... I've someone interested in buying a 30"x20" canvas of one of my images... £60-70 seems to be the cost price, what kind of prices do people sell for? (y)
