Where to see meteor showers in Scotland?

Hi guys

I'd like to try and get some pictures of the Perseid meteor showers as it peaks later this week.

I live in Fife, Scotland and was wondering if anyone has any ideas where to go to shoot these stars? Obviously, somewhere dark and ideally with some foreground interest. I'm willing to travel up to around 3 hours by car if there is any good locations. Can anyone help. Many thanks.

Loch Doon and that area has dark sky status. Glencoe?

The weather has been absolutely awful up here! No break in the clouds at all the last 3 days and almost constant rain. I don't think I'll get a chance to see the meteors. Nor seen one yet!
