Where to source photography props for free?

I have ideas that require using items that I can buy in stores but I don't want to spend money on props that I will only be using once for a photoshoot.
Does anyone have experience on this or any suggestions that don't involve hiring items or is spending money for my work the only option?

Buy second hand and sell on when finished.
What sort of props are you looking for?

All sorts of things. Anything from mannequins to sheets of glass, metal, furniture, etc.

Scrapyard's, charity shops, second hand shop fittings ???

Yes, nothing for free but little money and potential to sell on what you have finished with.
